Garia Welfare Society (GWS) was founded in 2009 with a commitment to our planet. Our early work focused on building a resilient "Green Foundation" through Biodiversity Protection and aggressive Waste Management. We launched specialized Plastic Alleviation Programs and worked tirelessly on reforestation and Water Management to restore our community's ecological balance.
"True welfare is holistic. We realized that protecting the earth meant little if we didn't also protect the health and awareness of the people living on it. Our mission didn't shift; it grew."
Direct Action & Medical Excellence
Today, GWS operates on three vital fronts: Cancer Care, Environmental Protection, and Community Empowerment.
Our medical intervention has reached new heights. We now offer Cervavac Vaccination for girls aged 9-14 to prevent cervical cancer before it starts. Our detection camps provide pinpoint screening for Cervical, Oral, Breast, and Anal cancers, incorporating height, weight, and sugar tests for a comprehensive health survey.
The Bridge to Recovery
Through our partnership with Chittaranjan National Cancer Institute (CNCI), we facilitate life-saving surgery and treatment for the needy, 100% free of cost.
Our community presence is felt in every corner. From Marketplace cleaning drives to high-energy awareness rallies and campaigns in schools and colleges, we organize 4-5 major community programs every year, ensuring welfare is visible, actionable, and shared.
Environmental Equity
Waste management and plastic alleviation drives to keep our local hubs clean and sustainable.
Medical Survey
Integrated screening combining cancer detection with vital stats (Sugar, BMI) for deep community health surveys.
With over 200+ screening camps completed and 15,000+ lives touched, GWS continues to honor its green heritage while fighting at the forefront of medical equity.
